PsyQ
A four-band console EQ with transformer color.
Two shelves and two bells, voiced the way a console channel is. The shelves grow a resonant shoulder as you raise their Q. The bells narrow as you boost them, so big moves stay musical. The output runs through a transformer stage that thickens as you push it.

A shoulder when you want one
Below a Q of 0.85 the shelves are smooth. Above it they lean in with a resonant bump at the corner.
Proportional Q
The more you boost or cut, the narrower the bell gets. Gentle moves stay broad, big ones stay focused.
Transformer stage
Coupling, saturation and a gentle top-end roll-off, oversampled so the color stays clean.
Drag the curve
One handle per band. Drag for frequency and gain, right-drag for Q.

Windows installer, VST3
The beta is the whole equalizer, with its factory presets, and runs in full for sixty days. Requires Windows 10 or later, 64-bit and a VST3 host. Mac versions are on the way: get one email when they are ready.

Pre-release installers are not yet code-signed with a Windows certificate, so SmartScreen may say it “prevented an unrecognized app from starting”. Choose More info, then Run anyway. Release builds will be signed.
In PowerShell, Get-FileHash .\PsyQ-1.0.0-beta-20261008-1645.exe should print the SHA-256 above. The signature file carries the same hash, signed with the MadPsy key that signs every plug-in’s content.
