Make something with it. Become a resident.
Make a track, a preset bank or a set of samples with any MadPsy plug-in, or post a video, review or write-up about one, trial versions included, and send it to us. If we approve it, you become a MadPsy resident: the plug-ins you used are yours, free, with your name on the work wherever it appears.
Three things, for keeps.
Licenses
A full license for every MadPsy plug-in your work uses, made out to you, on every computer you own.
Your name on it
Wherever we use your work, on this site, in a factory bank or in a video, it carries your artist name and a link.
New builds first
Residents get betas and new plug-ins before they go public, and a direct line to the people who make them.
Four ways in.
Show a plug-in off
One to four minutes, made mostly with MadPsy plug-ins. Your own drums, vocals and mix bus are fine. Tell us which plug-ins and presets carry the track.
MP3, WAV, FLAC, AIFF or Ogg
Patches worth keeping
Ten or more named patches for one plug-in, saved from its preset browser. We may ship the best in a factory bank, credited to you.
The saved .psy bank, or a .zip
Sounds to build with
One-shots, loops or multisampled instruments you recorded or designed yourself, for PsyOp’s sample packs and grains. Tell us how they were made.
WAV or AIFF, or a .zip of them
Tell people about it
A YouTube video, a review, or social media posts where a MadPsy plug-in is the subject, in your own words and honest. Good and bad opinions both count.

We review and reply
To every submission. If we approve yours, your licenses arrive with the reply.
You keep your work.
Only approved work is featured, and nothing becomes part of the Residency until we approve it. By sending your work, you allow us to include it with MadPsy software, for example in a factory preset bank or a sample pack, and to use it in promotional content such as demos on this website, videos and social posts, always credited to you. If you are not happy for your work to be used this way, please don’t send it.
The Residency is here to help spread the word about MadPsy while it is new. Its terms may change, and parts of it may end, at any time. We expect the sample library and audio demo parts to run for a good while. Whatever changes, licenses already issued are yours to keep, and work already credited stays credited. To hear about open calls and changes first, join the Residency list.
Who owns what I send?
You do. By sending it, you give us permission, once we approve it, to include it with MadPsy software (presets in factory banks, samples in sample packs) and to use it in promotional content, such as demos on this website, videos and social posts, always credited to you. The permission is not exclusive: you remain free to use your work anywhere else. We will ask before any other use.
Does it have to be all MadPsy?
No. The plug-ins you want licenses for should carry the track, but drums, vocals, mixing and mastering can come from anywhere, as long as you have the rights to them.
Can I use the trial?
Yes. That is what it is for. If the trial runs out before you finish, email us for a demo reset.
How many licenses can I get?
One license for each plug-in your featured work uses. Send more later and you can earn more.
Will every submission be featured?
No. Every one is reviewed and every one gets a reply, but only work we approve is featured or shipped, and only approved work earns licenses.
Do videos, reviews and posts have to be positive?
No. We ask for honest coverage where a MadPsy plug-in is the subject: a real look at it, in your words. It should be public, and say that you received a license if we give you one for it.
Can the terms change?
Yes, at any time. This is an introductory program, and we will adjust it as we learn what works. Licenses already issued stay valid whatever happens. Changes are announced on the Residency list.
What about samples from other sources?
Only send samples you recorded or designed yourself, or that you have the right to let us redistribute. Samples taken from commercial packs, records or other software can’t be included, even if their license lets you use them in your own music.
